“LALO Tequila Blanco is an excellent choice for cocktails due to the natural citrus and tropical hints it gives,” says Sam Jimenez. “And given the fact that they use mature agaves and it’s 100% additive free, it's very delicious on its own as well. On a snifter it lends a crème brûlée note and subtle cinnamon. Subsequent sips give supple flavors of toasted coconut and a bit of tangerine.”

“With blanco tequila, being able to taste the agave is very important. And Mijenta is interesting in that it also has a soulful, almost smoky note, but more like cured meats—that could be due to the texture as well, since it is velvety and even somewhat buttery. I enjoy it on its own, and it is fabulous for cocktails, pairing especially well with tropical, citrus, and even earthy notes.”

Lindsay Matteson recommends Teremana Tequila Blanco “because it has the bright, grassy notes you want from a blanco tequila but also the depth and complexity found in aged tequilas. It mixes well in citrus-forward cocktails and has enough body and spice that it stands up in a spirit-forward cocktail.”
