About Daytrip Strawberry Amaro

Daytrip Strawberry Vino Amaro is the quickest way to make a cocktail - a bit fruity and tart, a bit floral, a touch of spice, it's strawberry jam and it's finishing bittersweet. Daytrip is a strawberry wine, fortified with a strawberry distillate and infused with a slate of botanicals including rose, jasmine, pink peppercorns, cinnamon, quassia and gentian. Its warming as a neat sip as an aperitif / digestif, refreshing in a spritz, or building new depths in a classic stirred down drink. 

Tasting Notes for Daytrip Strawberry Amaro

Strawberry jam, tannic spice from the pink peppercorns, baking spices, floral / herbal, bittersweet.

Suggested Serves

• Classic Daytrip
• Daytrip Spritz
• 1.5oz Daytrip Strawberry
• .5oz Oloroso or Amontillado Sherry
• 1 oz Sparkling Rosé
• 1 oz Soda
• Method: Build in a glass over fresh ice and garnish with a strawberry.

Production Notes

Strawberry juice is fermented for 3 days before being fortified with a spirit made from whole strawberries distilled into house made spirit. Quassia, gentian, rose, jasmine, cinnamon, pink peppercorn and other botanicals are added to the fortified wine for several weeks, building the bitter, floral and spiced dimensions of the strawberry fruit wine amaro.
