This rye is made entirely in-house at New York Distilling Company, from grains grown and sourced in New York State.
Where some others may take shortcuts, New York Distilling believes in doing things the old-fashioned way - even if they take time.
And making whiskey takes time. This rye is proof that the waiting is worth it.

Spicy on the nose with notes of peach or honey. Wood grain and pepper. Fruit, a light caramel, and dialed up rye, with berry notes. A finish of darker cherry, a dusting of cocoa, and a lingering, undulating cinnamon clove quality.

Classic: Mix up a Sazerac
Ragtime Rye is made from a mashbill of 75% New York State grown rye, 13% New York State grown corn, and 12% malted barley.
It is always aged for at least three years, though bottles at the moment are, on average, 4.5 years old, a blend of 3-4-5-&-6 year old ryes.
Each bottle shares indelibly similar characteristics, but not every batch is exactly the same, which is part of what gives it its wonderful, surprising, and complex qualities.
New York Distilling Company is the first distillery to open in New York City since the Prohibition Era. It was born during (and in many ways in response to) the renaissance of cocktail culture in New York City in the early years of the 21st Century. As such, its spirits are designed with the creation of excellent and inspired cocktails in mind.
