Batch 5.
This offers a bold, concentrated caramel tone that mingles with a hint of plum skin. A pleasant prickle of sweet spices—cinnamon, cardamom, clove, cayenne—lingers on the finish. - Kara Newman, Wine Enthusiast
750ml & 116 Proof
Tasting Notes | Aromas of rich fruit, syrup, and sweetness, savory grain notes alongside pleasant citrus. On the palate, orange peel, fruit, caramel, and increased oak notes to provide a good kick in the body. The finish is balanced and smooth, candied sweetness, smoke, and savory grain. |

Production Notes |
Barrel Strength is blended from three four-grain bourbon mash bills which are aged for between 3 to 4 years in new American oak barrels. It is completely uncut and non chill-filtered. Each barrel was hand selected and blended into a single batch to create this unique offering. The mashbill: 76% Corn, 15% Wheat, 6% Rye, and 3% Malted Barley. Penelope Bourbon is distilled at MGP's historic Lawrenceburg, Indiana distillery, and is blended and bottled at Castle & Key (formerly the Old Taylor Distillery) in Frankfort, KY. |
Founder Facts | Mike Paladini and Danny Polise were close friends and childhood neighbors. They and their wives got together and in classic entrepreneurial fashion decided to create a bourbon everyone could love. Penelope Bourbon is named after Mike's daughter, Penelope. |
