Clase Azul Reposado

$141.00

The perfect objet d'art for your bar cart. Each bottle of Clase Azul Reposado is hand-sculpted and painted individually by indigenous artisans in the village of Santa Maria Canchesda, Mexico. It carries on the tradition in ultra-premium tequila of using ceramic bottles, rather than glass, to express its artistry.

Its gorgeous presentation is matched by its quality; Clase Azul Reposado is an exceptional tequila for sipping.  It also pairs quite well with antipasti, charcuterie, and some fine dark chocolate for dessert.

A thoughtful gift for those who love the beauty of art and artisan spirits.  Or for yourself.

“Yes, the bottle is quite beautiful, but please stop admiring it and start drinking what’s in it!  Clase Azul Reposado is the perfect sipping tequila. It has the ability to be sweet, with toffee and caramel flavors, and at the same time earthy and woodsy. It’s smooth to the finish, and will make you remember why you love tequila in the first place.” -Marysa Mitch

Tasting Notes Woody, fruity, vanilla and toffee caramel aromas, with a silky and rich body. Intense amber color. A smoky sweetness that is immensely enjoyable with each sip.
Production Notes Master distiller, Arturo Lomeli, blends time-honored tradition with innovation to produce a truly superior tequila. He waits more than nine years to harvest his 100% organic agave at its peak of maturation, when the heart of the plant is rich with flavor. After harvest the plants are roasted in old-fashioned brick ovens for 3 days; great care with fermentation and two distillations bring forth the best quality essence. Next Clase Azul Reposado is aged for 8 months, then triple micro-filtrated to ensure the highest purity.
Terroir
Produced in Jalisco, Mexico, in one of the highest points in Los Altos. Many believe the soil is richer here and produces sweeter agave plants, resulting in a more fruit-forward tequila as compared to agaves grown in the lowlands.
